Mix butter and preserves together, cut off little pats and spread both in one layer onto your toast, muffins or pancakes.
1 stick softened, unsalted butter
1/2 C + 2 T jam or preserves
Combine butter and jam or preserves; combine thoroughly with a rubber spatula. Wrap in parchment paper, forming an even cylinder; tie ends.
Keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to a month.
